About
I help experts make their expertise visible, useful, and transferable.
For years, I designed training and learning experiences across organizations — and kept seeing the same problem: even the most accomplished experts struggled to teach what made them effective.
Their knowledge had become so automatic that the critical thinking and judgment behind their results never made it into their training, documentation, or tools. That realization led me to develop the Expertise Translation Method™ — a practical approach for uncovering invisible expertise and turning it into knowledge others can understand, apply, and repeat.
How I got here
Across various organizations in different industries, I worked as a trainer, instructional designer, and learning strategist — and the same problem kept surfacing. The most accomplished experts in the room couldn't fully explain what made them effective. Their knowledge had become so automatic it had gone invisible. What they knew was real. What they could teach was a fraction of it. The gap between what experts do and what they can transfer is where results get lost.
What I brought to this work wasn't borrowed — it was built. Through years of practice and research, I developed a lens trained on tacit knowledge, expert cognition, and the mechanics of how expertise travels from one person to another. That lens became the Expertise Translation Method™, grounded in more than forty years of research into how expertise is made visible, useful, and transferable. It's the foundation for everything I do with clients today.
I hold dual master's degrees in Instructional Design and Industrial-Organizational Psychology, along with the CPTD credential. That depth matters — because the experts I work with deserve a process built on rigorous research, not just good instincts. You've built something real. I help you make sure others can see it, use it, and repeat it.
